First guide to the use of environmental DNA in the marine environment

The Vigilife International consortium is proud to announce the publication of the first guide to using environmental DNA in the marine environment. The aim of this document, which is the result of collaborative work between users, researchers and experts, is to present, in a user-friendly way, the step-by-step implementation of Vigilife standards for the acquisition, dissemination and interpretation of eDNA data to encourage, in the long term, the implementation of concrete societal actions in the territories.

This practical guide is aimed at all those involved in marine biodiversity who wish to use eDNA analysis methods to contribute to the knowledge and conservation of marine ecosystems. It was produced in partnership with the University of Montpellier (MARine Biodiversity Exploitation and Conservation MARBEC), SPYGEN and ANDROMEDE OCEANOLOGIE, with the support of the Agence de l’eau Rhône Méditerranée Corse.
